A large electronics manufacturing division of the company was seeing its defense related business volume shrink. We were asked to conduct a strategic analysis to identify opportunities to enter the commercial manufacturing environment.

We conducted a competitive benchmarking study, identified competitive weaknesses, potential differentiations, and change in discriminators. We identified approximately $27 million in cost savings. The division has entered into non-defense related work. Employment has grown by approximately 350 people. The division became a “center for excellence” for the corporation.
