The company manufactures and distributes furniture and is one of the largest home furniture manufacturing companies. They have a rich history of success stories that illustrate its dramatic transition from a ‘virtual unknown’ to a significant force in the industry. For over half of a century, the company has remained committed to its Vision Statement: We Want to be the BEST Furniture Company. They were interested in benchmarking the best practices of their facilities throughout the country.

We conducted a benchmarking study of fourteen performance groups of the furniture company to assess best practices. Information was collected, assembled, summarized, and analyzed. A facilitated discussion was held with the groups to discuss accuracy, completeness and reasons for outlying locations. A final report was delivered.
