This is a non-profit company that provides quality improvement expertise and services through contracts with federal and state governments, as well as private organizations. Through a contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, They served as Alabama’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO). They wanted to develop a strategic plan which would include the divestiture of a part of the business.

We were asked to conduct a high level assessment of the divestiture to parent relationship, and to develop a pathway for healthy growth for them. Tasks included interviewing senior leaders, board of directors and key personnel and to identify the strategic issues and dynamics of the relationship. The interviews laid the groundwork for the facilitation session to develop strategic actions for the future.
